ICC Hails World Twenty20 as Huge Success
22 Jun 2009 -
The International Cricket Council's President, David Morgan has declared the ICC World Twenty20 England 2009 as an overwhelming success.
The day after England were crowned women's champions and Pakistan the men's, David Morgan said: "The players brought this tournament alive with their innovation, passion, talent and commitment. They entertained us, thrilled us and occasionally even challenged our view of the game itself as they introduced new and wonderful feats of skill and athleticism that I for one had previously scarcely thought possible."
The ICC is now looking ahead to the ICC Champions Trophy, to be played in South Africa from 24 September to 5 October 2009. Gullivers can organise tailor-made supporters packages to the ICC Champions Trophy - go to our ICC Champions Trophy 2009 page.
