Hazel Cabena - Account Manager

I have always had a love for travelling and exploring new places and have travelled around Australasia and South East Asia. On my return to the UK I began working at Gullivers Sports Travel.  
 
Rugby World Cup 2003 was the first event I tour managed on with Gullivers and seeing England win was one of the highlights of my life. Having played rugby at university, I have an interest in the game and have enjoyed working on various 6 Nations and mini & junior rugby festivals, during my eight years with Gullivers. The Lions Tour to New Zealand in 2005 was an opportunity to re-visit a country in which I found new adventure and natural beauty round every corner. In 2009 I had the opportunity to visit South Africa during the Lions Tour and thoroughly enjoyed the rugby and the country.
 
I worked on the Ashes tour in 2006-07 and enjoyed learning the basics of the game, although I've still not grasped the many of the laws of cricket - it is rather complex! Since the Ashes I have also worked on the England Cricket Tour to New Zealand 2008 and the ICC World Twenty20 West Indies 2010, where I visited Guyana and Barbados.

A spell in Gullivers' inbound department saw me through an All Blacks tour of the UK and Ireland, as well as Rugby World Cup 2007, France. I am now an Account Manager working on the forthcoming Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
 
I am from a sporty family and have played a number of sports at a competitive level, including netball, hockey, rugby and horse riding. My main sport nowadays is rowing and I enjoy being out on the water at Evesham, even the early morning starts don’t put me off.  I took a sabbatical at the end of 2009 to sail across the Atlantic, which was a wonderful adventure that I will never forget.
