Simon Jones - Tour Manager
I was a Tour Manager on the Lions Tour to Australia in 2001 and enjoyed it so much I had to rest for eight years before doing it again. I played rugby for Bath many years ago with a certain Gareth Chilcott whilst working as a teacher.
As well as playing for Bath, I was also lucky enough to play for various invitation teams including the Barbarians at the Hong Kong Sevens and the South West against the All Blacks. On the back of these events I travelled the world pretending to be a rugby player until age caught up with him. Thinking he had better do something beside run around in a
tracksuit, Simon obtained his Masters Degree in Education at UWE and settled down a bit.
I am now owner/director of Ed Support Ltd, a Level 3 RFU coach, Senior RFU Trainer for the South West of England and a Trainer for the IRB. I am also a writer of rugby books and editor of the IRB coaching website.
