Mike Curran (Tank) - Tour Manager

I am a true Gullivers veteran, having been a guest on the first ever Gullivers tour to Amsterdam in the early 70s. I subsequently cut my teeth as a tour manager on the 1989 Lions Tour to Australia and have worked on every Lions and Rugby World Cup since then. I rank my favourite tours as Rugby World Cup 1995 and Lions 1997, both in South Africa.

I am a civil servant and head up a training arm – an area I describe as particularly taxing! A sports fanatic, I played rugby for Gloucester RFC in the mid to late 70s and was an accomplished cricketer until my body couldn’t keep up with my spirit.

Everyone knows me as Tank but the reasons why have become lost in the mists of time.
