Having been born and bred in West London, the furthest I had got prior to leaving school was a two night stay in Dublin! A few years later and with a few more exotic destinations and rugby tours under my belt, I started working for Gullivers on a full time basis in 2000. Having first gone into the school tours department I quickly grew to love travel and Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, South Africa, the Caribbean and most of Europe were quickly knocked off the to do list.

Since then it has been nonstop, working in the schools and clubs, festivals and now the outbound supporters department. The best bits of working for Gullivers are twofold. Firstly, I have visited countries that I would never have been able to get to and have met people I now consider close friends. Secondly, I have been to some of the biggest and best sporting events you could wish to go to. Highlights have to be the 2001 Lions Tour and Rugby World Cup 2003 but some of the best memories have come from the townships in South Africa and the rugby in the south west of France.

Outside of work, two young daughters and Sicilian wife keep me on my toes and with family spread from Edinburgh to Penzance and Philadelphia to Perth, travel is never too far from my life, in or out of work. Golf is still a passion and I follow cricket keenly. Living in Cheltenham, horse racing takes over once a year at least but if my betting patterns are anything to go by, don’t listen to any sporting predictions I might make! With a Scottish mother, an Irish father and having been born in England and Italian blood flowing on my wife’s side of the family, any 6 Nations event has always been keenly contested in the Strahan household!
