Rugby World Cup 2007 Gullivers organised a mayoral reception and dinner for All Blacks supporters
With over 5500 overseas fans to look after in France over the period of the Rugby World Cup 2007, Gullivers Sports Travel enlisted the assistance of its sister truck company, Atchison Topeka, to help with the mammoth logistics involved, and for the extra comfort of its clients.

Gullivers Inbound Account Manager, Kay Johnson said: "We had some very large movements of clients on certain days when we took over whole TGV trains and whilst the TGV is a fantastic way to travel around France, they do not cope easily with the baggage of rugby fans who are following the tournament for anything up to 7 weeks, so our trucks relieved the problem."

Gullivers Inbound used over 300 hotels in France for clients mostly from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa and, given the client type, its not surprising that there were many arrangements in place for vineyard visits and other social engagements which extended to a mayoral reception and dinner for 1000 Kiwis in the village of Valbonne on the Cote d'Azur one evening.

Gullivers Outbound Department also handled around 5000 UK clients mostly on short weekend breaks to all matches, including of course the Rugby World Cup Final between England and South Africa.
